MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY in Mooresville – View what went on! Click To Play on the video link below:-
On Saturday, October 30th, three area churches banded together to benefit The Mooresville / Lake Norman Christian Mission, in conjunction with National Make A Difference Day, the largest single day across our national for helping others, and invited the whole community to join them! The main part of the project, was a “Fun Fair” to Fill The Christian Mission’s Food Pantry, from noon until 3:00 p.m. The Fun Fair featured a FREE Hot Dog lunch at noon, live music, and bounce rides & crafts for the kids.
The Christian Mission is currently serving over 4,000 families in our community, up from about 2,000 just 2 years ago. One of the main ways they serve these families is by distributing over 28,000 pounds of food each month. But, because of the increase in need, their Food Pantry is very low at this time, and they need the community’s help to build up their food supply! It's not too late to contribute a bag of food items to the mission (Click Here for list of most needed items).
Nationally, Make A Difference Day is organized by USA WEEKEND Magazine, Newman’s Own, and the Hands On Network. New Hope Missions Church in Mooresville, Point of Grace Lutheran Church in Cornelius, and Lake Norman Lutheran Church in Denver are sponsoring this local project in Mooresville.
