| February 12, 2012 - Jesus Establishes the MOTIVE and IDENTITY of His Mission |
3 Week Sermon Series: MISSION POSSIBLE: The Mission of Christ on Earth, for us!
Week Three: (Mark 1:40 - 2:12) Jesus Establishes the MOTIVE and IDENTITY of His Mission. Here we see that Jesus is moved by compassion to "cleanse" a man with Leprosy. We also see Him forgive and heal a paralytic. In both cases, Jesus also responds to faith in Him - that He is both ABLE and WILLING to help us - especially with our greatest need - the forgiveness of our sins.

| February 5, 2012 - Jesus Establishes the POWER and PURPOSE of His Mission |
3 Week Sermon Series: MISSION POSSIBLE: The Mission of Christ on Earth, for us!
Week Two: (Mark 1:29-39) Jesus Establishes the POWER and PURPOSE of His Mission. Here we see use His POWER to serve people - to heal them of illness and to cast out demons (ridding them of evil rule in their lives). We also see that Jesus goes to God, His Father, for Strength (POWER) and Direction (PURPOSE) for His Mission. We too, need to surrender to God for His Power in our lives and His good Purpose for it as well. And, we are then directed by Him to align our Purpose with the Purpose of Jesus' Mission - which is the eternal salvation of all people, not just the physical healing of some.
